WVG Kainz GmbH can trace its roots back more than 100 years. The story of the former halbard forge in Loiderding that was taken over by the founder’s grandfather remains a cultivated tradition and is an important part of our corporate culture.

The history of WVG Kainz GmbH can be traced back to the forge in Loiderding – a district of Irschenberg – which can look back on more than 100 years of tradition. The grandfather of the founder of WVG Kainz took over the former halbard forge and in 1980, over 30 years ago, Martin Kainz Senior founded WVG Kainz GmbH with the aim of taking on maintenance and repairs for machines in the meat industry.
With experience and an eye for improvements he soon began to build innovative plants and machines. Today, WVG Kainz GmbH is a leading company in the food industry thanks to its overall expertise in intra-logistics combined with consultancy services, planning, construction, installation and maintenance of machines for reusable containers.
- 1980 WVG Kainz GmbH founded on 1 April
- 1986 The company moves into larger rented premises with 12 members of staff
- 1993 Construction of production hall and office building in Bruckmühl (2,000 m², 22 members of staff)
- 1994 Subsidiary wvg kft founded in Kecskemét (Hungary)
- 1997 550 m² extension in Bruckmühl
- 1999 New building built in Hungary for around 25 members of staff
- 2004 New building built in Irschenberg: 4,200 m², around 70 members of staff
- 2009 Dipl.-Ing1. Rupert Baur takes over as CEO
- 2010 30th anniversary celebrations with around 130 members of staff in Germany and Hungary
